Meet the Owner and Winemaker: Renate Wallem

I believe that drinking wine makes every meal an occasion, every table more elegant, and that everyone should enjoy wine the way they want to enjoy it.  My passion for good wine, my background in the hospitality business and 18 years of banking experience have created the foundation for Vintner’s Cellar of Bedford. 

Prior to becoming an American citizen, I worked in the hospitality industry in my home country of Austria for seven years. I followed this with a long career in banking, most recently as a senior vice president for a private bank in Boston.  Working in two very different industries was great experience and introduced me to the idea of owning my own business. The concept that my own hard work and determination could be applied to my own business appealed to me on many levels. 
 
Today, Vintner's Cellar of Bedford is a reality and we are ready to offer you and your friends a uniquely personal experience: tasting, choosing, and making your own premium wines.  I look forward to meeting you.
